Dr. Salim Sultan Al-Ruzaiqi

Chief Executive Officer, Information Technical Authority (ITA) Oman

Dr. Salim Al Ruzaiqi is the CEO of the Information Technology Authority (ITA), where he leads the responsibility of implementing the Digital Oman Strategy (e.oman), and through his 28 years of experience in the field of Information Technology, Dr. Salim held several administrative and diplomatic positions in the Sultanate.

In addition to his current responsibilities, Dr. Salim is the Chairman of the Omani IT Association, a Board Member at; the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the Public Authority for Manpower Register (PAMR), the Executives Committee of Oman University Project, the Executive Committee of the Science and Technology Park Project, the GCC eGovernment Executive Committee, and member of the Advisory Panel for the World Development Report 2016: Internet for Development. In addition, he was a board member of Omantel and Oman Mobile for four years.

Dr. Salim holds a Doctorate of Science degree in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA.
