Dr. Hosni Mohamed Morsi Nasr
Journalism and new media Professor and Head of Department of Mass Communication - College of arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University
He was born in Egypt in 1962. He got his Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Journalism, School of Journalism, University of Maryland at College Park & Cairo University (channel System), 1996. He published 15 books in Arabic and English in Mass Communication, Communication Theory, New Media, Global Communication, Media Laws and Ethics, Arab Media System, Investigative Journalism, News reporting and editing, the contemporary Egyptian journalism and media and society.
He taught journalism and new media in Cairo University, UAE University, Ajman University of Science and Technology.
He published many scientific articles in refereed journal and periodicals about new media and political activity, theory of the new media, social networks and rumors.
He participated in many scientific conferences as keynote speaker, researcher and organizer in Cyprus, Tunisia, Turkey, Greece, Sweden, South Africa, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, Jordan and UAE.
He writes a weekly media critical column in Oman daily newspapers.
