Speaker Bio

Over 17 years’ experience in the IT field. Started her career as a Systems Engineer at Petroleum Development of Oman LLC where she worked on security related projects. Moved to Central Bank of Oman as a Senior Information Security Officer. Currently heading the Information Security Management Department.
Nahla is aiming to raise the importance of information security, and the risks associated with the confidentially, integrity and availably of the data. Her main objective is to link the strategic business objectives of the organization with the Information Security objectives. Interested in Information Security Compliance.
Attained her BSc in Information Systems from Sultan Qaboos University, and MSc in Information Technology from the University of Glasgow. In 2017, Nahla attended the Essentials of Leadership Program at London Business School, and completed an online program called Disruptive Strategy at Harvard Business School in April 2018. Passed the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Exam and the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) Exam.
