Omar Holds a Bachelor degree in computer engineering with more than 11 years of professional Information security experience. Omar is a voting member in the IEC/ISA-62443 formerly known as ISA99 standard for critical infrastructures resiliency and an international partner in the Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWC) created by the DHS. Omar is a certified CBCP, CRISC, CEH and ISO27001LA, He has worked for several multinational firms in the oil and gas sector, currently he is the QCERT Head of CIIP leading the assessment of the critical infrastructures and in drafting national standards like the Qatari National ICS security standard, The first document of its kind in the Middle East. Omar’s team is also responsible for the National Cyber Security drills.
