Dr. Ibraheem S. Alfuraih
Deputy Governor for Strategy & Planning
Dr. Ibraheem Alfuraih is the Deputy Governor for Strategy and Planning at the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Before joining NCA, Dr. Alfuraih was Deputy Governor for Users and Partners Affairs at the Communication and information Technology Commission (CITC) where he was leading the development of services standards, consumer protection, cybersecurity in the ICT sector, and developing the Internet service in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Alfuraih obtained his PhD in computer science from Syracuse University in 1998, and Bachelor degree from the Computer Science department at King Saud University in 1991.
Dr. Al-Furaih has over twenty five years of experience in ICT field, his experience includes leadership, management, strategic planning, Internet and telecommunication laws and regulations, Internet infrastructure, cybersecurity, policy development, human resources development. He participated in many national and international committees and workgroups related to regulatory, technical and developmental issues, and he represented Saudi Arabia in many international forums and committees.
