Appointed by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Ben Said, Sultan of Oman, in accordance with Sultani Decree #29/2019 as member of the Omani Human Rights Commission for the fourth period from 2019-2021. She is an Omani lawyer licensed before the Supreme Court of the Sultanate of Oman and equivalent & serves as Vice Chairperson of the Committee Regulating Labor market in Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the period from 2018-2022. Also Maimuna is the first licensed Omani in Train of Trainer by Dr. Tariq Al Suwaidan under the training she received in 2016
