Speaker Bio

Dr. Abdullah Salim Al Balushi received his PhD in Computer Sciences (Industrial Control Network Security) from Queen’s University Belfast (United Kingdom) and is currently working as Director of Digital Security Operations Center (DSOC) at Ernest & Young (EY). He served as Director of SOC at Information Technology Authority before joining EY. A strong advocate for information security, Dr. Abdullah’s professional interests focus on critical infrastructures security and resilience where he has contributed to many national projects including national public key infrastructure (PKI), security assessment services, and academic researches with several international publications. Also, Dr. Abdullah is a member of Oman Block-chain club launched in 2017. Besides, Dr. Abdullah successfully coveted professional certifications in Information Security such as GAIC Certified Advanced Penetration Tester and Exploit Researcher (GXPN), GIAC Certified Web Application Defender (GWEB), ITIL, and other IT certifications.
