Dr. Noora Fetais

Founding President of the Arab Association for Cyber Security and Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the College of Engineering at Qatar

Dr. Noora Fetais, is a certified Innovation Leader and a fellow at The Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (UK). She is an associate professor at Qatar University. Her expertise is in Emerging Technologies, in particular Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Visualization. Dr. Fetais represents Qatar University at ITU (UN) and Qatar IXP and is the founding Secretary-General of the Arab Association for Cyber Security Dr. Fetais was awarded the British Chevening Scholarship, and a NATO-SPS grant to support CyberWomen Workshop in Qatar for NATO and partner countries and has 3 US patents in cybersecurity (2 granted and 1 filed). A member of the UK-Gulf Women in Cyber Fellowship Program she is also a mentor at the ITU (UN) Women in Cyber Mentorship Programme 2022. Dr. Fetais is the only woman to chair the Faculty Senate of Qatar University and become Director of the KINDI Center for Computing Research at Qatar University. She is the founder of the Qatar Women in Cyber Security Middle East (WiCSME) Affiliate group. Dr. Fetais holds a PhD from the University of Sussex (UK) and an Executive Master’s in Leadership from Georgetown University. Dr. Fetais leads and manages several cybersecurity teams at QU and abroad and co-supervises PhD students in Qatar, France, and the UK.
