Speaker Bio

Ms. Balques Al Radwan is a Programme Management officer at the UN Counter-Terrorism Center under the UN Office of Counter Terrorism working with the Global Counter-Terrorism Programme on Cybersecurity and New Technologies. She is currently heading the AI portfolio of work under the programme working on topics related to malicious use of AI for terrorist purposes and exploring the use of AI technologies in countering terrorism. Previous to that, she has spent 10+ years working in Cybersecurity and information security governance in the financial sector in Kuwait. She holds a MSc in IT with Business and Management from the University of Sussex and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
