Omar Sherin is a cyber-security director in EY MENA, Holding a BSc. In computer engineering and with 14 years of cyber security experience specialized in ICS security and in Critical infrastructure protection. Omar is an elected voting member in the ISA99/IEC62443 standard for industrial control systems security, the highest committee in the standard. Omar is also an international member of the ICSJWG created by the US-DHS, He also lead the Qatari National Critical Infrastructure Information Protection program in (Q-CERT) conducting tens of ICS assessments and handling national level incidents, he also developed the Qatari National ICS Security standard, the first document of its kind in the middle east. Omar is a certified GICSP, CBCP, GRISC, CERT-IH and a SANS institute ICS Mentor.
